We are a group of ladies of a certain age who are ready to have some fun. Most of us live somewhere else and spend our winters in the warm, sunny south at a wonderful resort in the United States.

Red Hatters enjoy the Cordon Bleu Cooking School

A large group of our members enjoyed an amazing meal at the Cordon Bleu Cooking School Restaurant called Techniques. Service and food was fantastic!
A visit to a nearby consignment shop was also enjoyed by everyone.

Christmas Idea House

Over 25 Red Hatters and friends headed out from Canyon Vistas RV park for a trip to see the Christmas Idea House. 3 vehicles arrived without any difficulty......now what happened to the front 3 vehicles? Was it too much conversation? A lack of attention? Someone who is directionally challenged? Luckily the whole contingent did finally arrive and we had a great time touring the mansion. The home was enormous. I think my whole house would fit in the kitchen family room area. There were many Christmas decorations for sale. Each room was decorated with a theme and had many gifts for sale. One bedroom was totally for children and many of our girls picked up items for their grandchildren. The kitchen of course had cookie mixes, drink mixes and all sorts of kitchen items for sale.
We were allowed to tour the dining room, kitchen, the master bedroom, the man cave, the family room, 3 bathrooms. It was very interesting to see how the other Half(?) lives.

A small number of our girls pose for a picture in front of mansion.

Some of the girls headed out for lunch. Isn't that important for Red Hatters?

December Meeting

Wow wasn't it great to see so many members at our meeting. Even with the time change we managed to get started on time.
The statistics that say if you are a group of 25 people there is a 50% chance that two of those people would have the same birthday was proven at our introduction session.  Not one but two shared birthdays! Isn't that amazing.
Thanks to Hazel and Cathy for organizing our month of December events.  On Sat we will be heading to the Christmas Idea house, on Tues we will be going to see the Zoo Lights and on Thur we will be having our Christmas Lunch at the Cordon Bleu Cooking School in Scottsdale.  Let's dress up in our Christmas Finery.
Cathy has arranged for a group to go to see A Christmas Carol at the Hale Theatre on Dec 14th. I think we are going to be very busy.
Mary Carson (Countess of Cameralot) is busy taking pictures for our directory. Are many of you like me you need to see the face and the name at the same time?  This makes it so much easier to find people.  Thanks Mary.
January is also going to be a busy month beginning with our Salad Lunch on the 5th.  Hazel is making arrangements for a trip on Dolly Steamboat, tea at Ms Thomas' teahouse, a trip to a very exclusive consignment shop and a possible tour of some heritage houses.
We will end the month with the Cal-Am Red Hat luncheon at Mesa Regal on Jan 31st.
And of course there will be our biggest event of the season, the Cancer Week at Canyon Vistas the last full week of January.
Happy Red Hatting
